Funding organization: Interreg Baltic Sea Region
Project manager: Monika Wilde-Piórko
Number: #S009 BalMarGrav
Duration: 16.06.2022-31.12.2024
URL: https://interreg-baltic.eu/project/balmargrav/

Summary: The project aims to improve the inadequate mapping of the marine gravity field in the southern and eastern Baltic Sea Region (BSR). BalMarGrav builds up a transnational network of experts in the BSR to save and reprocess the fragmented historical data and to provide harmonized and validated open data products. Accurate and dense gravity measurements are essential for the development of gravity anomaly maps and a geoid model. In particular, these tasks are very important for the Baltic Sea Hydrographic Commission to make a decision concerning a unified height reference system for the BSR, called BSCD2000, that will be based on a precise geoid model.

Title of the project: Analysis and improvement of the mathematical model of the single-epoch GNSS positioning for deformation monitoring in geoscience research

Funding organization: NCN

Project manager: Sławomir Cellmer

Number: 2018/31/B/ST10/00262

Duration: 1.10.2019-30.09.2023

URL:

Summary: The project is dedicated to achieving precise real-time satellite positioning. When it comes to determining precise positions based on data from a single observation epoch, a challenge arises due to the ill-conditioned mathematical model. This ill-conditioned model leads to solution instability, where even minor changes in observations or the model can result in significant result variations, thus lowering solution reliability. Within the project, extensive research is being conducted to explore the application of regularization techniques in achieving precise positioning based on single observation epochs. This research involves the development of the mathematical foundations for implementing these techniques within the computational process, as well as the creation of detailed algorithms and the software necessary to perform these calculations.
