Jacek Paziewski is an associate professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn. He received his doctorate degree and habilitation degree in the field of satellite geodesy in 2012 and 2018, respectively.
Jacek Paziewski has authored or co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed research papers and over 100 presentations given at the scientific conferences. He was investigator or principal investigator in several research and development projects founded by NCN, NCBiR and European Space Agency. His research interests cover algorithm development for precise GNSS positioning, in specific: modelling of the ionospheric delay, detection of the ionospheric disturbances and integration of multi-constellation GNSS signals. Recently, he focuses on the application of high-rate GNSS observations for geohazard monitoring as well as low-cost and smartphone GNSS signal processing.
Jacek Paziewski is an active member of European Geosciences Union, International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and working group in the frames of International Association of Geodesy (IAG). Currently he holds a Chair of the IAG Working Group 4.4.3: „Reliability of low-cost & Android GNSS in navigation and geosciences”. He is also a member of the Editorial Boards or Editor in Measurement Science and Technology, Journal of Surveying Engineering, Journal of Geodetic Science, IOPSciNotes, Geosciences and Geodesy and Cartography. His scientific contributions have been recognized through awards including scholarship for outstanding young researchers founded by Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2018-2020), individual and team awards given by the Rector of UWM, as well as awards given for the best presentations at the scientific conferences (2019) and for outstanding contribution to review process in Advances in Space Research (2016, 2018, 2019) and Journal of Surveying Engineering (2017).
